Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Salute to the bravery of brave soldiers on Kargil day
On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Shaurya Diwas was organized at the District Sainik District Welfare Office located in the Tehsil premises and saluted the brave soldiers who raised the flag of incomparable courage and valor in the Kargil war. On this occasion, District Magistrate C. Ravi Shankar, while saluting the brave soldiers through video conferencing, said that today is a day of pride for every countryman. He said that Uttarakhand is not only Devbhoomi but also a brave land. It is a matter of pride for us that the people of Uttarakhand have always contributed immensely in the army. The contribution of such brave sons will always be remembered. On this occasion, he called upon everyone to take a pledge to protect the country. In the program, District Sainik Welfare Officer Colonel RL Thapa also discussed the contribution of brave soldiers. On this occasion, the concerned officers including Assistant District Sainik Welfare Officer Captain DS Gusain were present.
