Amit Shah has failed the country by planting seeds of hatred: Rahul Gandhi
A day after five Assam Police personnel were killed in violent clashes along the Assam and Mizoram border, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday condoled these deaths and took a dig at Home Minister Amit Shah, saying he was involved in the lives of people. I have failed the country by planting hatred and distrust.
Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet, Heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed. I hope the injured get well soon. HM (Home Minister) has again failed the country by sowing hatred and mistrust in the lives of the people. India is now facing dire consequences.
His remarks come a day after a bloody clash between the two northeastern states over the festive border dispute on Monday left five Assam Police personnel dead and over 50 injured while guarding the state’s constitutional border with Mizoram.
An Assam government statement said that five personnel were killed – identified as sub-inspector Swapan Roy and constable Liton Suklabaidya, M.H. Barbhuiya, N Hussain and S Barbhuiya.
