Uttar Pradesh: Encounter continues in Shahjahanpur, now three cow smugglers and a policeman injured in police encounter

Police had an encounter with cow smugglers in Shahjahanpur. Three cow smugglers have been injured by bullets in the encounter. Apart from this, a constable was also shot in his hand in the firing by the miscreants. The injured have been admitted to hospital. Actually, Tilhar police station had received information from an informer that some smugglers were taking an animal for slaughter near Gurgiya Bahadurpur village. Meanwhile, the police team under the leadership of CO Mayank Jain surrounded the three animal smugglers. When the police challenged them to surrender, the cow smugglers started firing at the police. In retaliatory firing, three miscreants were shot in the legs. Apart from this, a constable Avneesh has also been injured in the firing by the miscreants. Police have recovered a pickup vehicle and animal cutting tools from the spot.

It is noteworthy that yesterday in Katra police station area, the police had killed a criminal in an encounter on charges of murder and today on the second day, three smugglers were shot in an encounter. There is an atmosphere of panic among the miscreants in the area due to the swift action of the police. At present the injured are undergoing treatment in the medical college.

Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Sanjeev Kumar Bajpai says that there was an encounter between the police station Tilhar and the Gokash, in which 4 Gokash Chhote, Munna, Danish and Imran were arrested.

A policeman Avneesh has been injured in the encounter. Along with that, three cow smugglers Chhote, Munna and Danish alias Chhotu were shot in their legs. Gokash is a resident of Bhojipur of Chhote Bareilly. Danish and Munna are from Shahjahanpur. Apart from three illegal pistols, six shells and five cartridges, pickups and cow slaughter equipment have been recovered from the four cow smugglers.
