Corona Vaccination : Center’s letter to the state governments, ‘Attention should also be paid to the weaker sections, beggars and homeless should not be deprived of vaccine’

The central government is making every effort to ensure that no one is deprived of the vaccine during the corona vaccination campaign. Under this, the Center has asked the states to expedite the vaccination of corona to such people who are homeless, destitute and beggars. The Union Health Secretary has written a letter to all the states in this regard, in this letter it has been said that for vaccination, the states should focus on such people who are vulnerable. For example, there is a need to emphasize on vaccination of those who are beggars, destitute and homeless.
The central government believes that it is such a section that cannot register itself for the vaccine or it lacks resources. State governments should provide facilities to vaccinate this group. The Center has advised the states that the help of NGOs or volunteers can be taken for the vaccination of this ‘class’.
Significantly, the graph of new cases of corona in India has gone up a bit. Amidst the fear of a third wave of Corona, 44,230 new cases were registered in the country in the last 24 hours on Friday. This is the highest number of corona cases reported in a single day in the last three weeks. During the peak of the second wave of corona in the month of May, the number of daily corona cases in the country had reached four lakhs, but later it gradually decreased. Now there has been some spurt in the cases of Corona, due to which a state (Kerala) has had to implement a weekend lockdown. The number of cases has also increased in the northeastern states.
