Corona vaccination figure crosses 1 crore in Delhi, half the population got vaccinated

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said today that more than 1 crore vaccine doses have been given to people in Delhi so far. About 50 percent of the adult population of the national capital has been given at least one dose of the vaccine. CM said, “Till date 1 crore vaccine doses have been given to about 74 lakh people in Delhi. Out of these, at least 26 lakh people have been given both doses. The remaining people have received one dose of vaccine.” ”.
CM Kejriwal said that the population of the city is about 2 crore, about 1.5 crore people are above 18 years of age and are eligible for vaccination. He said that about 50 percent of the adult population has received the first dose of the vaccine.
He said that people in Delhi are showing enthusiasm and desire for vaccination. I would like to congratulate all the health workers for this achievement. However, due to lack of dosage, we have not been able to go ahead with the vaccination campaign.
CM Kejriwal said that according to the state government, about 50,000-70,000 vaccines are being administered every day. If we get the required dose, we will easily be able to vaccinate three lakh people every day. But, we are not able to do so amid the shortage. We are in constant touch with the central government on this issue. I really hope.. so that the national capital and other parts of the country get the required dose to take the vaccine campaign forward.
Urging people to get vaccinated, CM Kejriwal said his government is facing a “double challenge” of vaccinating all those who have not yet been vaccinated and giving the second dose to those who have received their first dose. The dose has been received.
