Babul Supriyo said goodbye to politics, was recently removed from the Union Cabinet

BJP MLA from Asansol in Bengal Babul Supriyo announced on Saturday that he was saying goodbye to politics. He was recently ousted from the Union Cabinet of the Modi government. However, he is not associating it with any other party. He clarified saying that he is a player playing in the same team, I have supported only one team.
He announced his decision to quit politics by writing a post on Facebook, in the beginning of which he wrote, ‘I am leaving … farewell.’ The post has been written in Bengali, along with a YouTube link of a song by late playback singer Hemant Mukherjee.
Babul Supriyo’s pain on resignation, wrote in social post – I am sad for myself
He wrote, ‘Listened to everyone – father, mother, wife, daughter, two dear friends After listening to everything, I say that I am not going to any other party. #TMC, #Congress, #CPIM, nowhere. I am a team player! Always have a supported team. Supported only BJP in West Bengal. That’s it…I’m leaving…if you want to do social work, you can do it without getting into politics.’
Supriyo also said that he is resigning from the post of MP. He started the political innings by joining the BJP in the year 2014. He was made the Union Minister of State for Urban Development after the BJP won the Lok Sabha elections in 2014. In the recent reshuffle in the Union Cabinet, he was removed from the post of Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change. A few months ago, in the Bengal assembly elections, he lost from Tollygunge assembly seat by 50 thousand votes.
Thanking top BJP leaders like Amit Shah and JP Nadda, he has not taken this step for ‘bargaining’. He wrote, ‘…they may think I am ‘bargaining’ for ‘post’… I pray they don’t misunderstand me, forgive me.’
