softening of precious metals
The precious metals saw a bearish trend today due to weak buying at the domestic level coupled with weak cues from the international level. In the international market, spot gold fell 0.22 percent to $ 1823.90 an ounce and US gold futures fell 0.52 percent to $ 1823.60 an ounce. During this, silver spot was down 0.12 percent at $ 25.50 an ounce.
The country’s largest futures market MCX saw a fall in both the precious metals due to weak cues from overseas markets as well as weak domestic demand. Gold Mini fell by Rs. 129 to Rs. 48081 per 10 grams and gold declined by Rs. 215 to Rs. 48066 per 10 grams. During this, silver was lowered by Rs 286 to Rs 67914 per kg and silver mini by Rs 300 to Rs 68100 per kg.
