Uttar Pradesh : Father’s complaint to CM Yogi – IPS officers harass daughter by calling
A complaint surfaced through Twitter has created panic in the state police. Once again the matter is of an IPS officer. A Ghaziabad man has alleged that a senior IPS officer of UP Police is harassing his daughter. He says that the officers call his daughter late at night.
This tweet has been done by tagging the Twitter handles of the IAS Association and IPS Association, apart from the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and DGP Mukul Goyal. In the tweet, a request has been made to take strict action against the officer. In this, the complete details of the officer’s name, designation, batch allotted as an IPS officer of UP cadre have also been given. Along with this, the officer has been described as corrupt and a black spot of the state police.
There is tremendous discussion in the department regarding this tweet. This tweet has come to the fore at a time when the DGP is trying to teach a lesson of civility and decency to the policemen. He has directed to organize workshops for this in all the districts.
More recently, similar serious allegations were leveled against two DSP level PPS officers. A DSP posted in Unnao was caught in a hotel with a female constable in Kanpur Nagar, while another DSP was accused of converting to a second marriage. Earlier, two IPS officers were also accused of committing obscene acts.
