Oral Hygiene Day was celebrated
by the Department of Dentistry, Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai in the OPD block of the University following the Corona protocol. The program was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Ramakant Yadav did it. The winners of the slogan writing, meme making and selfie competition organized on the occasion were awarded. UG student Atul Yadav stood first in slogan writing and Rashmi stood second. At the same time, Dr. Rahul Mishra, Faculty member of Dental Department was the winner in meme making. In Selfie, PG Student Dr. Jaya Agarwal stood first and Dr. Kirti Sharma stood second.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramakant Yadav said that oral hygiene is very important for healthy teeth. He told that while cleaning the teeth with a brush, keep in mind that the brushes should be soft. Move the brush in the mouth at a 45 degree angle without applying too much pressure on the gums. Dr. Atul Kumar Singh, Head of the Department of Dentistry said that the whole world is battling corona virus infection for the last two years and there is a fear that the third wave may also come. In such a situation, it is important to know that this virus enters the body exclusively through the mouth and nose. Convenor Kovid Dr. SP Singh, Medical Superintendent Dr. Adesh Kumar, Registrar Suresh Chandra Sharma, Faculty members Dr. Rajesh Thakur, Dr. Vipin Yadav, Dr. Rahul Mishra, Dr. Vijay Mishra, Dr. Gaurav Jain, Dr. Rajmangal Yadav, Dr. Anuj Savita, Senior and Junior Residents were present.
