Indore is recognized as the cleanest city in the country, now a campaign has started to give it a new identity in the matter of environment. Under this, a tree is being planted in every house. Under this campaign, a target has been set to plant two lakh trees in public and important places by August 15. In Indore, the Har Ghar Ek Tree campaign started on the occasion of Hariyali Amavasya. While planting saplings on the banks of Saraswati river near Lokhande bridge, MP Shankar Lalwani said that Indore has always been ahead in environmental protection, the biggest proof of this is that Indore has secured a high position in the Clean Air Catalyst Program at the international level. . To improve the environment, it is necessary that tree plantation should be done on a large scale in the city. Due to the work of environmental protection, pollution in Indore has also reduced.
Municipal Commissioner Pratibha Pal said that under the Har Ghar Ek Tree campaign, a target has been set to plant more than two lakh saplings by August 15 in different areas on different themes. In such houses where there is no place for plantation, citizens will be encouraged to plant plants with oxygen like Tulsi, Aloe Vera, Money Plant in such houses in less space with public cooperation and public participation.

The commissioner said that in order to improve the air quality, the Municipal Corporation, along with the Forest Department, Border Security Force, DRP Line, Media Brothers, Social Organizations, Educational Organizations, Religious Organizations, 56 Shop Associations, with public participation under the Har Ghar One Tree campaign. Work is being done in collaboration with Bullion Market Association, Utensil Market Association, Textile Market Association, Pulses and Oilseeds Association, Hotel-Restaurant Association, business and other organizations.
