Sensex closed at 54,402 with gains, Nifty also rise
The stock market closed strongly today. On Monday, the first day of this trading week, the 30-stock Sensex of BSE closed at 54,402.85 with a gain of 125.13 points. At the same time, NSE’s Nifty ended today’s trading at the level of 16,258.25 with a gain of 20.05 (0.12%) points. During this, 23 stocks in Nifty 50 closed on the green and 27 on the red mark. On the other hand, 13 stocks in the Sensex closed with losses and 17 gains. If we talk about Nifty Top Gainer, Mahindra & Mahindra closed 2.23, Tech Mahindra 1.93, Axis Bank 1.86, Bajaj Finserv 1.57 and IndusInd Bank with a jump of 1.31 percent. While Tata Consumer, Coal India, Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel and SBI were among the top losers. On the other hand, Bank Nifty rose by 219 points and Nifty Financial Services rose by 66 points today. Nifty Mid Cap and Small Cap indices also closed in the red today. If we talk about sectoral indices, except Nifty Oil & Gas, Consumer Durables, Auto, Metal, PSU Bank, and Realty, IT, Media, Pharma, Nifty Bank, Nifty Financial Services, Private Bank etc. closed with gains.
MRF’s net profit up 12 times in Q1
Tire company MRF on Monday said its consolidated net profit grew 12-fold to Rs 166 crore during the first quarter of the current financial year ended June 30, 2021. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 13 crore in the April-June quarter of the last financial year. MRF told the stock exchange that income from operations increased to Rs 4,184 crore in the first quarter from Rs 2,461 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2020-21.

The stock market started with an increase today. BSE’s 30-stock key sensitive index Sensex opened at 54,385.71 with a jump of 107.99 points on Monday. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also opened with an increase at the level of 16,281.35. In early trade, the Sensex was trading at 54,482.30 with a gain of 204.58 points, while the Nifty was up 64.10 points at 16,302.30. Tech Mahindra, HCLTech, Infosys, Wipro and UltraTech were the top gainers in Nifty. On the other hand, ONGC, Hindalco, Tata Consumer, Reliance and Bajaj Finance had shares in the loser.
