Supreme Court refuses to ban compulsory vaccination

Notice to the Center on disclosure of trial figures
The Supreme Court, while hearing a petition on Monday, said that India already has a problem of hesitation regarding the corona virus vaccine, so there should be no message from the court about its efficacy.
A bench of Justices L Nageswara Rao and Hrishikesh Roy was hearing a petition filed by Jacob Puliyal, a former member of the National Technical Advisory Group, seeking disclosure of data on clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccines. The petition also sought a direction to publicize the data on the adverse effects of the Kovid-19 vaccine on people, stating that the government was forcing people to take the vaccine. Although the Supreme Court refused to grant an interim stay on compulsory vaccination, it has issued notices to the Centre, the Ministry of Health, ICMR and vaccine manufacturers seeking their response regarding disclosure of trial data of the coronavirus vaccine. Hearing the petition, Justice L Nageswara Rao said, 50 crore people in the country have been given the vaccine.
Public health cannot be tampered with
The court said that you cannot tamper with public health like this. We have not seen such an epidemic in 100 years, so it is important to balance the vaccine in an emergency. Senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, appearing for the petitioner, said that this is neither an anti-vaccine petition nor the petitioner is seeking to stop the vaccination of Kovid in the country. Prashant Bhushan said there is a need for transparency in vaccine testing and the disclosure of the data will clear all doubts.
Demand not to be denied the facility
Quoting a recent sero-survey report, Prashant Bhushan said that at least two-thirds of people have been infected with COVID-19, which makes their antibodies more effective than the COVID vaccine. Prashant Bhushan said that many restrictions, including travel, have been imposed on those who have not received the vaccines. He said, since the vaccine is voluntary, so if one does not get the vaccine then the person should not be denied any facility.
