Gauri Bazar village of Sarojininagar, located in the capital Lucknow, received light rain on Monday, due to lack of rain and drainage, dirty water has been filled in the houses here and in the streets leading to it. Where drainage and light rain on Monday afternoon exposed the municipal corporation. Along with waterlogging at many places, dirty water has been flooded in the houses. The residents of Gauri allege that due to the lack of cleaning and drainage of the pond by the Municipal Corporation, in light rains, the roads and abuses appear like a pond, the water becomes engrossed. Due to not cleaning the streets and roads here for a long time by the Municipal Corporation, the drainage here has stopped. Due to this, rain water entered the houses of the residents and people’s houses. There is an atmosphere of panic among the people living in the houses so that no house may fall due to this water logging. The pond was not cleaned here for years. At the same time, the municipal officers are sitting with their hands on their ears. A year ago, a drain was allotted by the Municipal Corporation to draw water from the pond. But the municipal officials are not visible. Despite this, the work of the drain has come to a standstill for more than a year.

In Gauri village, due to lack of drainage, the passers-by are facing a lot of difficulties in coming and going and people who come here on a daily basis are facing a lot of problems due to waterlogging on the way. Many times people have fallen here and got injured. Due to which a big accident can happen here anytime. Even after complaining about this matter many times to the top officials, the water remains in the houses due to the closure of the drain work for years. Due to which the people here are forced to come out of the dirty water. If this is not taken care of in time, then the possibility of spreading any infectious disease can never be ruled out.
