Brentford beat Arsenal to start Premier League campaign with a win
Brentford’s team, playing in the top league football league for the first time since 1947, began their campaign in the English Premier League with a 2-0 win over Arsenal here on Friday.
Sergi Canos gave Brentford the lead in the 22nd minute, while Christian Noergaard scored a header in the 73rd minute to ensure a 2-0 victory.
Around 16,500 fans were present at Community Stadium during Brentford’s win.
Brentford played his last match in England’s top division against Arsenal in May 1947, in which the team lost 0–1.
