New Delhi : Constable shot himself, condition critical
A police constable shot himself in the early hours of Monday in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj police station area. Police of South Western District, aptly pointed Pratap Singh said that the injured constable Rakesh (35) has been admitted to AIIMS where his condition is serious.
He said that around 6 am on Monday morning, information was received that a constable named Rakesh shot himself at the police picket on Eastern Road in Vasant Kunj police station area. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and found constable Rakesh unconscious. The policeman immediately admitted him to the trauma center of AIIMS where his condition remains critical. Rakesh has shot himself in the head on his right side with a government pistol.
According to the police, a boy who had gone on a morning walk informed the police about the incident. He said that the crime and FSL team reached the spot and investigated. Further investigation is on.
