Himachal Pradesh : Chief Minister flagged off 17 fire vehicles

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today flagged off 17 fire fighting vehicles of the Fire Services Department for fire stations and sub-fire stations located in different parts of the state.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that this vehicle would be used for fire fighting stations at Kinnaur, Mall Road Shimla, Paonta Sahib, Bilaspur, Kullu, Baddi, Parwanoo, Nalagarh, Una and Chamba, sub-fire stations at Jhanduta and Gohar and Jubbal, Patlikuhal. , Sansarpur Terrace, Padhar and Jogindernagar fire stations.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government had spent Rs 21.26 crore for the purchase of fire fighting vehicles and other equipment and Rs 17.46 crore for the construction of various buildings of the Fire Department during the last three years. He said that with this better fire services would be available in rural areas of the state.

Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Additional Chief Secretary J.C. Sharma, Special Secretary Home Rakesh Sharma, Director Fire Services Department S.P. Singh, Deputy Director General Home Defense and Civil Defense Anuj Tomar and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
