In West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district, scientists have developed an indigenous kit to test patients with black fungus. It has been prepared by scientists in a lab in Bakrahat area of ​​South 24 Parganas. The cost of this kit will be Rs. Earlier it had to be bought from it for seven to eight thousand rupees. Raja Mazumdar, managing director of GCC Biotech Pvt Ltd, the company that made the kit, said that the kit was earlier available in the market for Rs 7,000-8000, but due to new technology, its price has come down. Now it is available for Rs 1000. It is the first company in the country to manufacture black fungus test kit. There is no company in the world to make a cheaper kit than this yet. According to Professor Kaustav Panda, Department of Biotechnology, University of Calcutta, this test kit is successful in identifying 95 percent mucus or fungus. There are mainly three types of fungi in these. Whereas the imported kit can identify 65 percent of mucus or fungus.
