Some people brought Rakesh Tikait to Himachal due to political ambitions
Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister Virendra Kanwar said that Rakesh Tikait has come to Himachal Pradesh as a tourist and is welcome as a tourist. But they neither have any knowledge of Himachal Pradesh nor of its culture. Kanwar said that Tikait’s use of abusive language is unfortunate, which is a clear proof of his petty mentality.
Virendra Kanwar said that Rakesh Tikait has no knowledge about Himachal Pradesh and he has no knowledge of the ground. He said that the system of mandis in the state is very strong. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has recently provided Rs 250 crore for the mandis, thereby expanding the APMCs. He said that some people have brought Rakesh Tikait to Himachal Pradesh due to their political ambitions, which will never be successful. Tikait is a self-styled farmer leader who has no concern with farmers. He is only trying to polish his politics.
The Agriculture Minister said that the State and Central Government are working continuously to safeguard the interests of the farmers. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is the biggest example of this. Himachal Pradesh government is also mobilizing facilities for farmers with the construction of one bigha scheme, solar fencing, irrigation projects. He said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur is making continuous efforts to double the income of farmers, which is yielding positive results.
