Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Youth run in Fit India Freedom Run

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav India / 75 under the joint aegis of the Ministry of Sports – Nehru Yuva Kendra, National Service Scheme and District Youth Welfare Department, from Jawaharlal Nehru Yuva Kendra Bhagat Singh Chowk to Human Resource Center located at Bharat Heavy Electrical. Fit India-Freedom Run” was organized. Which was flagged off by City Magistrate Jagdish Lal. On this occasion, City Magistrate Jagdish Lal said that youths of six development blocks of the district participated in the Fit India-Freedom Run. He said that freedom run program is being organized in 75 villages of the district under the theme of Jan Bhagidari se Jan Andolan. Referring to physical fitness, he said that every person must play some sport – be it football, hockey or cricket – to keep the body fit. He said that running is the easiest way to keep the body fit. Emphasizing on the purity of the diet, he said that by taking pure food, the conscience remains pure and according to that the morals and thoughts are also determined. He said that the effect of being healthy in body and mind is also visible on our daily routine and work. Regarding the Fit India-Freedom Run program organized under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, District Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard Dal Officer Varad Joshi, District Youth Officer Nehru Yuva Kendra Himanshu Singh and District Coordinator of National Service Scheme Dr. Throwing light, Singh said that apart from remembering the contribution made by known and unknown sons in making the country independent, we are also taking Fit India along with us. In which our basic mantra is – “Dosage of fitness, half an hour daily”. He said that you must give half an hour to your body, when you are healthy then the whole country will be healthy. Before flagging off the Fit India-Freedom Run, City Magistrate Jagdish Lal administered the oath of Fit India-Freedom Run to all the participants.
