Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Historical Gughal Mela traditionally started with worship

On Saturday, the historic Gughal fair was inaugurated at Goga Mhadi in Pandewala, Jwalapur. The officials of the Panchayati faction Firahedian, the managing body of the fair, traditionally started the fair by worshiping Gogaji Maharaj. Due to the instructions of COVID, the three-day fair is being organized symbolically. No major events will be held during the fair. Shops outside the Mhadi complex were also not set up this year. Permission has been given from the administration to set up shops of Prasad etc. only in the Mhadi premises. Due to COVID, the fair will be organized in a symbolic way. Panchayati faction Firahedian President Umashankar Vashisht and General Secretary Sachin Kaushik said that the fair is being organized in a symbolic way following the guidelines of COVID. The fair has been limited to worship and darshan. Umashankar Vashisht and Sachin Kaushik told that Gughal fair is organized every year on a large scale. But due to the corona epidemic, the devotees coming to the fair will be able to worship and have darshan only by following the rules of COVID, maintaining proper physical distance and wearing masks etc. Volunteers have been deployed on behalf of the organization to make the devotees follow the COVID rules. He said that the devotees have great reverence for Gogaji Maharaj, who fulfills everyone’s wishes. Devotees come from far and wide to have darshan and worship of Gogaji Maharaj in the Gugal fair held annually on Mhadi. Convener of Panchayati Firahedian Nirmal Goswami, Treasurer Anil Kaushik, Joint Minister Umesh Lutiye appealed to the devotees and said that following COVID rules, do darshan and worship only by maintaining physical distance and wearing masks etc. Please cooperate with the government in controlling corona by following the rules. He said that by the grace of Gogaji Maharaj, the COVID epidemic will end soon and the country will return to the world with happiness and prosperity. On this occasion Convenor Nirmal Goswami, Treasurer Minister Vijay Pradhan, Minister Umesh Lutiye, Pradeep Nigare, Ramakant Badan K, Brajesh Vashisht, Deepanshu Kaushik, Income Expenditure Inspector Mahesh Tumbadia, Nandkishore Goswami, Ramakant Joshi, Shyam Sundar Sardar, Avinash Shukla, Pradeep etc. Followed the COVID-19 guideline along with the volunteers and made darshan to the devotees.
