Uttarakhand / Srinagar : Villagers surrounded Tehsil in protest against stone crusher

Villagers gheraoed Srinagar tehsil on Saturday to protest against the installation of stone crushers at Kanda Lagga Rampur on Chamdhar-Dewalgarh road. During this, the villagers expressed their protest by protesting and raising slogans. The villagers expressed deep displeasure over the DM ordered the leveling of the land for the operation of stone crushers. Said that if stone crushers are operated forcibly, then they will be forced to have a violent agitation. On Saturday, villagers of Dungripanth, Kaligarh, Dikholun, Vaide and Farasu in Farasu staged a sit-in protest against stone crushers by intimidating them. The villagers said that the administration was not taking the matter seriously despite the protests by the station crusher. He said that the place where the station crusher is being installed has the original source of water. With the operation of stone crushers, the water source will dry up and they may have to hunt water for drinking and irrigation purposes. Said that a memorandum has also been given to the Pollution Control Board in this matter. He demanded an immediate ban on the leveling work being done for the operation of stone crushers.
