Uttarakhand / Nainital : Torrential rains affected normal life
The rain in the city is not taking the name of stopping at all, on Saturday too, life was affected due to heavy rain for an hour. Along with the local people, a large number of tourists visiting Nainital from different cities of the country also had to face the rain. On the other hand, due to incessant rains, the water level of the life-giving Naini Lake has reached 11 feet 11 inches. The Bhandrapani-Patkot motorway of the district has been closed due to the rains. The weather was normal in the city from morning till noon, but after that the whole sky was covered with clouds and torrential rain started. Due to the rain, tourists having fun in the sightseeing places including Mall Road had to face troubles. According to Meteorological Center in-charge Pratap Singh Bisht, the maximum temperature was 21 and the minimum temperature was 16 degree Celsius. It has rained five mm till evening. In-charge of the lake control room, Ramesh Singh Gaida said that the water level has reached 11 feet 11 inches after rising by two inches.
