Angry United Kisan Morcha
There is a lot of anger among the farmers due to the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. Angered by the death of farmers in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident, the United Kisan Morcha has announced a nationwide protest on Monday. According to the Morcha, demonstrations will be held outside the offices of district magistrates and commissioners across the country. Farmer leaders Yogendra Yadav and Darshan Pal Singh have demanded an inquiry into the incident by a posted judge of the Supreme Court instead of the Uttar Pradesh administration.
In protest against the incident in Lakhimpur Kheri, the United Kisan Morcha has announced to hold demonstrations at all district headquarters on Monday. Protests were held in several districts of Haryana against the incident on Sunday. According to the United Kisan Morcha, on Monday, agitators related to farmer organizations will demonstrate and submit a memorandum at the district headquarters. Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chaduni) President Gurnam Singh Chaduni said that farmers from all over the country would gherao the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate’s office from 10 am to 1 pm at the district headquarters.
He said that the government wanted to suppress the voice of the farmers, but the agitation would continue till now the rights were recognized. The reaction of Lakhimpur accident was also seen in Haryana. Agitators burnt an effigy of Chief Minister Adityanath at the Tikri border in Bahadurgarh. Farmers blocked the road in village Kanhari of Fatehabad-Tohana area. There were demonstrations at some places in Ambala as well.
On the other hand, Tajinder Singh Virk, national president of Terai Kisan Sangathan, resident of Rudrapur in Uttarakhand, has also been seriously injured in the uproar in Lakhimpur. Since this information, there is a boil among the farmers of Terai. State Vice President of Terai Kisan Sangathan, Salwinder Singh Kalsi said that Tajinder is seriously injured. After first aid in Lakhimpur, they will be admitted to Bareilly. From here a batch of farmers has left for Bareilly to meet them.
