While Priyanka Gandhi has also been taken into custody in the morning.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Rashtriya Lok Dal president Jayant Chaudhary and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party president Om Prakash Rajbhar have also made preparations to reach the spot on Monday morning. In protest against the incident, Aam Aadmi Party will protest in all district headquarters on Monday. Chandrashekhar Azad going to Lakhimpur Kheri was stopped by the police at Khairabad toll plaza in Sitapur. He was arrested and made to sit in Sitapur police line.

From Amausi airport, she directly reached Kaul House on Gokhale Marg, where after consultations with advisors, she left for Lakhimpur late Sunday night with Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda. As soon as Priyanka’s car came out of Kaul House, the police stopped her. Tamtamai Priyanka got down from the car and had a scuffle with the police officers. After this she went on foot to the sand base amidst rain and drizzle. Congress workers were behind him. She left for Lakhimpur after sitting in Innova at Sand Adda intersection. Apart from Priyanka and Rahul, Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi are also reaching Lucknow on Monday to go to Lakhimpur.
CBI inquiry into the incident: Aam Aadmi Party’s state in-charge Sanjay Singh has demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident, strict action against the culprits and proper compensation to the dependents of the deceased farmers. At the same time, Omprakash Rajbhar, national president of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, will go to Lakhimpur Kheri on Monday morning and meet the farmers’ families.
