At the same time, BSP’s national general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra, who was preparing to go to Lakhimpur at 3 am on Monday, was placed under house arrest. While Priyanka Gandhi has also been taken into custody in the morning.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Rashtriya Lok Dal president Jayant Chaudhary and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party president Om Prakash Rajbhar have also made preparations to reach the spot on Monday morning. In protest against the incident, Aam Aadmi Party will protest in all district headquarters on Monday. Priyanka Vadra was supposed to come to Lucknow on Monday morning but after the Lakhimpur incident she reached Lucknow at 9.15 pm on Sunday night. From Amausi airport, she directly reached Kaul House on Gokhale Marg, where after consultations with advisors, she left for Lakhimpur late Sunday night with Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda. As soon as Priyanka’s car came out of Kaul House, the police stopped her. Tamtamai Priyanka got down from the car and had a scuffle with the police officers. After this she went on foot to the sand base amidst rain and drizzle. Congress workers were behind him. She left for Lakhimpur after sitting in Innova at Sand Adda intersection. Behind his vehicle was a convoy of vehicles of Congress leaders.

Priyanka Vadra said that what happened today looks like this government is doing politics of crushing the farmers. Doing politics to eliminate farmers. This country is a country of farmers, not a fiefdom of BJP’s ideology. He said that there is no word for the way farmers are being crushed in this country. Bhupesh Baghel and Channi will also come: Congress wants to make an edge in the politics of the opposition regarding the Lakhimpur incident. Apart from Priyanka and Rahul, Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi are also reaching Lucknow on Monday to go to Lakhimpur.

CBI inquiry into the incident: Aam Aadmi Party’s state in-charge Sanjay Singh has demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident, strict action against the culprits and proper compensation to the dependents of the deceased farmers. At the same time, Omprakash Rajbhar, national president of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, will go to Lakhimpur Kheri on Monday morning and meet the farmers’ families.

Rakesh Tikait left for Lakhimpur Kheri: After the incident, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that hundreds of farmers were returning from Lakhimpur after performing the program, when they were attacked by a vehicle, followed by firing.
