Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Sikh society protested against the Lakhimpur Kheri incident
In protest against the Lakhimpur Kheri incident, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Dharma Prachar Samiti and Sikh Sangat demonstrated against the UP government at Bhagat Singh Chowk, demanding justice to the victims and strict action against the culprits. Baba Pandit said that the BJP leaders, who were agitating for the abolition of agricultural laws, should be immediately arrested and the strictest action should be taken and sacked from the post. Satpal Singh Chouhan said that the UP government, which is trying to suppress the farmers’ agitation, is committing atrocities on the farmers. But the farmer is not going to back down. The agitation will continue till the three agriculture laws are repealed. Anoop Singh Sidhu said that Guru Nanak Dev Dharma Prachar Committee and Sikh society condemn the tragic incident that happened to the farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri. Along with giving compensation and government jobs to the victims, the culprits should be given strict punishment by conducting a fair investigation into the incident. The martyrdom of farmers against agricultural laws will always be remembered.
