The total vaccination coverage of COVID-19 in India crosses the crucial milestone of 91 crores

With 72,51,419 vaccine doses delivered in 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed the critical milestone of 91 crore (91,54,65,826) as of 7 am today, as per the last report. This achievement has been achieved through 88,75,020 vaccination sessions. With 29,639 patients being cured in the last 24 hours, the total number of recovered patients (since the start of the pandemic) has increased to 3,31,50,886.

As a result, the recovery rate in India is 97.93%. The recovery rate is at the highest level since March 2020.
As a result of continuous and collaborative efforts by the Center and the States/UTs, less than 50,000 daily new COVID cases are being reported continuously for the last 100 days.

In the last 24 hours, 18,346 new patients have appeared.
At present there are 2,52,902 active patients. These are the lowest in the last 201 days. Currently, these active cases constitute 0.75 per cent of the total confirmed patients in the country. The expansion of testing capacity across the country continues. A total of 11,41,642 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours. India has so far conducted a total of 57.53 crore (57,53,94,042) investigations.

Testing capacity has been increased across the country, the weekly confirmed cases rate is 1.66 percent, which has remained less than 3 percent for the last 102 days. The rate of confirmed cases on a daily basis is 1.61 percent. The daily positivity rate has remained below 3 per cent for the last 36 days and below 5 per cent daily for 119 consecutive days.
