“Give him (Kejriwal) ₹5,000…”: Punjab CM taunts, got answer

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi has taken a jibe at the attire of his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal. He said Arvind Kejriwal should be given ₹5,000 for the “suit-boot”. Kejriwal has also responded to Charanjit Singh Channi’s comment. “Channi sahib, you don’t like my clothes. Never mind… (but) leave the clothes. When will you fulfill these promises,” Kejriwal tweeted ahead of the 2017 election. In terms of promises.

Kejriwal said, “When will you give employment to every unemployed, when will you waive the loans of farmers, why were the culprits of sacrilege not sent to jail? (citing the sacrilege case of 2015) When will action be taken against the tainted ministers, MLAs and officials? ”

Earlier, news channel ABP had asked about Kejriwal’s remarks that Congress had made a “tamasha (joke)” of Punjab after Channi replaced Amarinder Singh.

To this Channi replied, “Do you have ₹5,000? Everyone has. Give him (Kejriwal) too… At least he can get nice clothes… Can’t he get suit-boots? His salary is ₹ 2,50,000, can’t he get good clothes?

Last month, while visiting Chandigarh, Kejriwal told reporters that the Congress leadership crisis in the state was “unfortunate” and “Punjab has been turned into a spectacle”.

He told reporters, “People don’t know where to go. Punjab Chief Minister should fulfill the promises made by Captain Amarinder Singh and take action against tainted ministers, MLAs and officials. Mastermind of 2015 sacrilege incidents arrested should be done.”
