The Board of Trade will oppose the unexpected rent increase in the shops of the Municipal Corporation. The Board of Trade has warned to open a front against the corporation administration. On Tuesday, a delegation led by Vyapar Mandal General Secretary Prateek Kalia met Chief Municipal Commissioner GC Gunwant. The delegation said that in Kashipur, the corporation administration has not increased the rent of the shops of the corporation, while in Haridwar, the rent of shopkeepers who pay rent ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 400 has been increased to Rs 1000 as a lump sum. But in Rishikesh, notices are being served to the shopkeepers by increasing the rent manifold. Which is direct harassment of traders. Said that if any decision is not taken by the Municipal Corporation according to the interests of the traders, then the trade union will have to agitate. Councilors Manish Sharma, Pradeep Kohli, Sanjay Vyas, Rajkumar Talwar, Rakesh Verma, Jitendra Anand, Ajay Kalda etc. were included in the delegation.
