Uttar Pradesh / Prayagraj : Youth stoned to death in honor killing in UP
In a case of honor killing in Mundera locality of Dhumanganj police station area of Prayagraj, a 22-year-old youth was stoned to death by the relatives of his girlfriend. The deceased youth has been identified as Tonu alias Sushil Pasi, a laborer.
The family of the deceased lodged an FIR against four members of the girl’s family, following which three people, including the girl’s parents Shiv Kumar and his wife Phula and brother Prabhat, were arrested on Tuesday.
In connection with the death of the youth, this incident happened late on Monday night.
SP (city) Dinesh Kumar Singh said that the incident took place when the deceased youth had gone to meet his girlfriend late on Monday night and was beaten up by his family members.
The injured youth died on the way to the hospital.
He said that the girl called Tonu and called him to meet her in the middle of the night. He had left the main gate of the house open.
However, the girl’s parents and two brothers got up and caught the young man red handed. They then attacked him with bricks and sticks and grievously injured him.
