HDFC Bank’s profit up 17.6 percent

Private sector lender HDFC Bank has reported a profit of Rs 8834.3 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal, up 17.6 per cent as compared to Rs 7513.1 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

The bank today informed the stock exchanges that its total revenue for the quarter ended September stood at Rs 25085.2 crore, an increase of 14.7 per cent as compared to Rs 21868.28 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The gross non-performing assets of the bank during this period stood at 1.35 per cent.
