Uttarakhand / Rishikesh : Former CM Trivendra Rawat inaugurated Gaushala in Bhaniyawala

People of Municipal Corporation Rishikesh will now get rid of destitute animals. For the destitute animals, the Municipal Corporation Rishikesh has built a cowshed in Bhaniyawala. Former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the BJP government has started implementing strict laws on cow protection, its results are coming.
On Sunday, the Gaushala of Municipal Corporation Rishikesh in Bhaniyawala was inaugurated by former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. He said that the State Government was committed to protect the destitute animals. There is a need for collective effort to give protection and dignified life to the cow, a symbol of faith. The government has also started implementing strict laws on cow protection in the state, which has also yielded positive results. Mayor Anita Mamgai said that over the years, the unclaimed animals have been creating obstruction in the city’s traffic system. Immediately after assuming the command of the Municipal Corporation, he started an exercise to get rid of this serious problem of the city dwellers. But the biggest challenge was the land required in the construction of the cowshed. Success was achieved after long efforts on this. In this cowshed, all the unclaimed animals of Rishikesh will be shifted. With this, the residents of the city will get rid of the terror of stray animals. In the cowshed, along with the arrangement of complete food for the destitute animals, treatment of sick and injured animals will also be done. About 280 destitute animals have been shifted to Kanji House. The Municipal Corporation had appealed to social institutions including cow lovers to cooperate in the operation of the cowshed, in which Rishikesh Seva Samiti has given a check of 1.25 lakh. THDC has also assured help in running the Gaushala.
