Uttarakhand : Temporary ban on the journey of Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri in Uttarakhand for the time being
The pilgrimage to Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri in Uttarakhand has been temporarily banned for the time being. This decision has been taken due to the heavy rain alert of the Meteorological Department. Devotees who have had darshan in Gangotri and Yamunotri. They have been asked to go to their safe destination. At the same time, the journey to Badrinath continues.
In Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert till Monday. In view of this, the trip to the three dhams has been banned. However, the journey to Badrinath Dham is still going on. It has been raining in the areas of the state since Sunday morning. As a precaution, the journey to Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham has been stopped for the time being. Rudraprayag District Magistrate Manuj Goyal said that passengers are not being allowed to go beyond Sonprayag. The passengers who reached the Dham are being sent back after darshan. Police and SDRF have been deployed to assist at the main points of the yatra.
Here, Uttarkashi district administration has also stopped Gangotri and Yamunotri Yatra for the time being. The passengers who have had darshan in Gangotri and Yamunotri are being asked to go to a safe destination. Passengers going to Yamunotri have been stopped at Badkot, while passengers going to Gangotri are being stopped near Uttarkashi and Bhatwadi. There are chances of rain and snowfall in Gangotri Dham and Yamunotri Dham.
