Uttarakhand : Dengue confirmed among 55 new patients in Roorkee, one fever victim dies

Dengue is becoming uncontrollable in Roorkee area. After the confirmation of dengue in 55 more people on Friday, the figure has increased to 398 in the district. At the same time, in Lavva village, a person has died under suspicious circumstances. According to the villagers, he was suffering from fever for several days.

Dengue outbreak is increasing continuously in Roorkee area. After Gadharona of Roorkee area, dengue is now wreaking havoc in Bhagwanpur area. Here, a large number of dengue patients are being found in villages like Bhalswagaz, Fakkarhedi, Khedi Shikohpur etc. At the same time, last night in Lavva village of the area, another person has died under suspicious circumstances.

According to family members, the man was suffering from fever for a few days. His health suddenly worsened last night. In such a situation, the family took him to the hospital, where he died during treatment. However, according to the health department, the person died of a heart attack.

On the other hand, according to the report on Friday, dengue has been confirmed again in 55 patients in Bhagwanpur area. This includes 35 patients from Alawalpur village. Whereas, 20 patients have been found in Dheer Majra village. District Malaria Officer Dr. Gurnam Singh said that the health department team has been sent to the villages where dengue patients have also been found.

Along with this, instructions have been given for spraying in the village. People are being motivated to remove the stagnant water in the village so that dengue larvae do not grow here. He said that samples of regular people are being taken by setting up camps in the area.

Health department’s concern is increasing in the increasing case of dengue
The increasing cases of dengue in Dehradun district are raising the concern of the health department. Dengue has been confirmed in two more dengue patients on Friday. In this way, the number of dengue patients in the district has reached 111 in the current season. All are reported to be in good condition.

Among the dengue patients found in the district are a 19-year-old female and a 29-year-old male. Who are residents of Rishikesh and Seemadwar respectively and are admitted in SPS Hospital Rishikesh and Government District Coronation Hospital.

Both are in good condition. At the same time, in view of the increasing number of dengue patients in the district, teams of Health Department, Municipal Corporation and other related departments are doing intensive larval survey, spraying of larvae and fogging in dengue affected and sensitive areas of the district.
