Uttarakhand : Salt MLA Mahesh Jina attacked in Bhakura, hospitalized

BJP Salt MLA Mahesh Jeena was attacked by a person near Bhakura. The man, allegedly claiming to be BJP vice-president, punched the MLA on the nose, causing him to faint. It is being said that stone pelting was also done during this period. The MLA was admitted to the hospital. As of now no report has been filed in the matter.

MLA Jeena inaugurated two roads at Bhadgaon and Bharsoli in Deghat area during the day on Thursday. Inaugurated the day’s Ramlila at Bharsoli at three o’clock in the evening. The MLA reached Bhakura with the convoy at 4.30 pm. Here, a person allegedly claiming to be BJP vice-president stopped his car along with four-five people and got into a tussle with them.

He punched the MLA sitting in the car on the nose, due to which the MLA became unconscious for some time. The person who punched was caught by the people and handed over to the Tehsildar who reached the spot. His other companions fled. The MLA was admitted to the Additional Health Center Syalde for treatment. After the information, SDM Shipra Joshi also reached the hospital.
