New wave of infection in 14 provinces of China, 75.8% of population vaccinated, yet cases are increasing

Even though out of 1.41 billion population in China, 1.07 billion people have been vaccinated in China. The country’s National Health Commission (NHC) has reported that new cases of infection have increased in 14 provinces of the country. On Friday, 59 new corona cases were reported in Mainland China. This is the highest for the first time since September 16. Most of the cases are coming in the northern areas of China. The worst-hit capitals in infection are Beijing, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Gansu and Ningxia. At the same time, there has been a lockdown in three cities in a week.

The Remote Administrative Divisional Authority in Inner Mongolia’s Aegina Banner said it would move more than 9,400 stranded passengers to low-risk areas in the coming days. NHC spokesman Mi Feng said on Saturday that the epidemic prevention and control situation is serious and complex. Because the infection is still spreading rapidly. More than a dozen cases have also come in the capital Beijing.

At the same time, NHC spokesperson Mi Feng said that so far 75.8% of the country’s population has taken two doses of the corona vaccine. As of Friday, a total of 2.26 billion vaccine doses have been given in China. Many provinces in China have started immunizing children between the ages of 3 and 11. State media reported that the dosing campaign was started due to the new outbreak.

At the same time, the newly opened Universal Studios theme park in Beijing has started following the guidelines with the Authority for the Prevention of Emergency Epidemics. He did this when a person who came in contact with the infected patient visited the resort in the theme park. In a social media post, Universal Studios said in a statement, “We are working on conducting nucleic acid tests and necessary health monitoring to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
