Uttar Pradesh : 170 roadways buses went to Sultanpur for PM Modi’s program, increased trouble for passengers, created ruckus
170 buses of Roadways Prayagraj region were sent there for the program organized on the occasion of inauguration of Purvanchal Expressway in Sultanpur. Due to this, commuters were facing a lot of trouble at Civil Lines, Zeroroad bus station on Monday. The biggest problem was faced by the passengers of Kanpur, Faizabad route. Due to paucity of buses, buses going on Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Lucknow routes were also crowded today. During this, the passengers also made a lot of noise about the lack of buses during the day.
It was decided only last week that 170 buses of Prayagraj region would be deployed in Sultanpur for PM’s program. Buses started leaving Prayagraj from Sunday night itself. Till Monday afternoon, only nominal buses remained in Civil Lines. During this, the roadways canceled all the buses going to Delhi. Also, due to the shortage of buses, the frequency of buses running on the Kanpur route was also reduced.
Due to non-availability of Faizabad bus in the afternoon, passengers got furious at Civil Lines bus station. On receiving the information, Regional Manager TKS Bisen reached the spot. By somehow explaining to the passengers, he pacified them. Later some buses were deployed for Faizabad. Apart from this, city buses were deployed on the Kanpur route. Till late in the evening, the commuters continued to suffer due to the lack of buses. Passengers may have to suffer due to lack of buses on Tuesday as well.
