Modi gave a 22-minute speech at the Constitution Day program; Without naming the Congress, Akhilesh and Lalu were taunted
Occasion- 71st Constitution Day, Venue- Central Hall of Parliament and Prime Minister Modi speaking. Only BJP people or their friends among the listeners. We are talking about the House.
The Prime Minister did not take anyone’s name, but made everyone talk about it. The gesture was towards everyone, but the focus was from Akhilesh of UP to the Sonia family of Delhi. From the Abdullah-Mufti family of Kashmir to the Lalu family of Bihar also came under the ambit.
Modi said four big things
1. The spirit of Nation First is getting lost: If I had to write the Constitution today, I would not have been able to write a single page
While making the constitution, the interest of the country was at the top. Many dialects, creeds and kingdoms were bound together through the constitution. The motive was that by doing this the country should be taken forward. If this had to be done today, then perhaps we would not have been able to write even a single page of the Constitution, because due to politics, Nation First is being left behind.
Why Said: Constitution Day has been in the government’s calendar since 1949, ie for 71 years. But it was not a big event. It was just a formality. After coming to the government of NDA or rather BJP at the center, it was enlarged from 2015 onwards. Through this, an attempt was made to give big space to Ambedkar and his followers.
2. Power which fell in the hands of families: It is not saying that more than one family member should not enter politics.
What said: Go from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in the country. India is heading towards a crisis and that is family parties. Party for the family, party by the family… and now there is no need to say any further (laughs, the sound of laughter of people sitting in the house also…). This is against the spirit of democracy. This is contrary to what the Constitution tells us. When I say family parties, I do not say that more than one family member should not enter politics. Come on merit and with the blessings of the people. The party which continues to run the same family from generation to generation is the biggest threat to democracy.
Why said: At the heart of this point is the assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh, which are to be held only after three to four months. Be it Akhilesh or Priyanka, both are in the JD of Modi’s definition of familyism. To say, it has spread from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. However, in the new definition, exemption has been given to family politics, which is prevalent in all parties including BJP.
3. Staying in politics even after being declared corrupt
What to say: The problem starts when someone has been punished by the judiciary for corruption and their glorification goes on because of politics. When they are supported by leaving local law, leaving dignity, for political gains, then people feel that corruption is being respected. Then they also feel that it is not wrong to walk in corruption. If the crime is proved, then a chance should be given to improve, but there is a competition going on to give prestige in public life. It inspires newcomers to go the way of robbing.
Why said: BJP has been saying that no big case of corruption has come to the fore in their government. Along with this, SP in Uttar Pradesh, Congress in the country and smaller parties in other states come under siege. But for now, the most focus is on UP. This statement is also for there, so that the BJP can be called clean as compared to other parties.
4. Rights v/s Duties: The more faithfully you perform the duty, the more rights will be protected
What was said: Today it is necessary that we follow the path of protecting the rights through duty. Duty is the path which gives authority to others with respect. The degree to which the duty is considered faithfully, it will protect the rights of all. This program is not of the government, party or the Prime Minister. This program is of the House, of this holy place. Speaker and Baba Ambedkar have dignity and we should uphold it.
Why said: The political modus operandi of the Congress after independence has been questioned, where the emphasis was on authority. Also the issue of refund of Kisan Bill. Parliament session is about to begin, the bill will be returned in it. There is a hint there too. Along with this, the Prime Minister has also taunted 14 opposition parties, including Congress, for boycotting the program on this pretext.
