Rahul Gandhi gave the list of farmers who died in the agitation in Lok Sabha, said- 500 got compensation in Punjab

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has raised the issue of death of farmers during the agricultural agitation in Lok Sabha and has demanded compensation from the government to their families. Around 700 farmers died during the agitation against the agricultural laws. PM Narendra Modi had apologized to the country and the farmers. He has admitted that a mistake was made on his part. Rahul Gandhi while speaking on the farmers’ movement in Lok Sabha said, ‘On November 30, the Agriculture Minister was asked how many farmers were killed in the agitation? In response to this, he said that I do not have any data about this.
Rahul Gandhi said that if the government does not have any information, then take the list from us. I am keeping a complete list of farmers who died during the agitation in the House. Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Punjab government has given a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of 400 farmers. Apart from this, government jobs have also been given to the families of 152 farmers. I have the complete list. Apart from this, we have also prepared a list of 70 farmers of Haryana. But your government says you don’t have a list of farmers killed. Rahul Gandhi said that I want that farmers should get all the rights and the families of those killed should get jobs.
Rahul Gandhi raised the issue in the House during Zero Hour and also laid a list of about 500 farmers on the Table of Lok Sabha and claimed that these people lost their lives during the farmers’ agitation. He said, “The whole country knows that around 700 farmers were martyred in the farmers’ movement. The Prime Minister apologized to the country and the farmers. The Prime Minister admitted that he had made a mistake. On November 30, the Agriculture Minister was asked a question (written question in Lok Sabha) that how many farmers died. They replied that they do not have any data. The Congress MP said, ‘We found out about these farmers. The Punjab government has given compensation to about 400 farmers of the state. I am laying on the Table of the House the list of these farmers and some farmers of Haryana who lost their lives during the protest.

Agriculture Minister had said, don’t know how many people died in the movement
The Congress leader said, ‘These names are here. I want that these farmers should get the rights. Their families should get compensation. Significantly, on November 30, the government had said that the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare did not have the data regarding the number of farmers killed during protests against agricultural laws in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. This information was given by Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha. Rajeev Ranjan Singh, TR Pratapan, NK Premachandran, AM Arif, Dean Kuriakose, Prof. Saugata Rai and Abdul Khaliq had asked how many farmers died during agitations around the national capital against the Three Agricultural Laws. Tomar said, “The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare does not have any data on this matter.”
