Tents started falling apart from Delhi border; Fateh March on 11th December; All fronts of Punjab ended on 15th

The farmers’ agitation on the Delhi border which has been going on for 378 days has been ended. Farmer leader Balbir Rajewal said that the arrogant are going by bowing to the government. However, it is not the end of the front. We have postponed it. On January 15, there will be a meeting of the United Kisan Morcha again. in which the movement will be reviewed. Farmers have started uprooting the tents on the Singhu border. Apart from this, preparations for the return have also been started.

At the same time, 32 farmers organizations of Punjab leading the movement have also made their own program. In which there will be a Fateh March from Delhi to Punjab on December 11. Farmers will leave for Punjab together from Singhu and Tikri border. On 13th December, leaders of 32 organizations of Punjab will pay obeisance at Shri Darbar Sahib in Amritsar. After that, on December 15, the fronts in about 113 places in Punjab will be abolished. 28 farmer organizations of Haryana have also made a separate strategy.

Agreed on these issues
MSP: The Central Government will form a committee, in which representatives of the United Kisan Morcha will be taken. The crops on which MSP is being received at present will continue. The amount of purchase made at MSP will also not be reduced.

Case withdrawal: Haryana and Uttar Pradesh government have agreed to return the case. The cases registered by the Railways with Delhi and other Union Territories will also be returned immediately.

Compensation: Compensation has also been agreed in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Like the Punjab government, a compensation of 5 lakh will be given here too. More than 700 farmers have died in the farmers’ agitation.

Electricity Bill: The government will not take the electricity amendment bill directly to the Parliament. First, it will be discussed with all the concerned parties apart from the farmers.

Pollution Act: Farmers had objections from section 15 regarding the pollution law. In which farmers are not imprisoned, but there is a provision of fine. It will be removed by the central government.

This time the Central Government directly held a meeting with the 5 member High Power Committee of the United Kisan Morcha. High Power Committee members Balbir Rajewal, Gurnam Chaduni, Ashok Dhawale, Yudhveer Singh and Shivkumar Kakka reached the All India Kisan Sabha office in New Delhi, where officers of the Union Home Ministry also joined through video conferencing. The biggest screw was stuck on the case, which the Center agreed to take back immediately.

The movement started from Punjab: The spark of the peasant movement was ignited from Punjab itself. On 5 June 2020, the Center had placed the Agriculture Reform Bill in Parliament. After this they were passed on 17 September. After this, the first protest started in Punjab. The movement started from Punjab on 24 September. After 3 days it became law with the approval of the President. Then on November 25, the farmers marched to Delhi.

Stopped in Haryana but went ahead breaking the barricade: Haryana sealed the border as soon as it was announced. Where farmers were lathi-charged. Water cannons were released. Farmers entered Haryana by breaking barricades. The next day the Haryana government also had to retreat. Farmers started agitation at Singhu and Tikri border of Delhi.

11 rounds of talks were ineffective: After this there were 11 rounds of talks with the central government but the farmers were adamant on the condition of yes or no to withdraw the law. After which the conversation remained closed for a long time. The day also came on 26 January 2021, when some protesters in Delhi reached the Red Fort during the tractor march. Violence took place in Delhi. There were many allegations against the peasant movement, but the farmers stood firm.

PM announces withdrawal of law: On November 19, on the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji, PM Narendra Modi announced the withdrawal of all three agricultural laws. They were passed by Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on 29 November. After this the farmers demanded a guarantee law on MSP. However, it was now agreed that the members of the United Kisan Morcha would also be included in the central committee. Apart from this, the Center has given in writing even on the return of the case. After which the farmers’ agitation ended on Thursday after 378 days.

Peaceful movement but 700 lives lost: The peasant movement, which lasted for more than a year, was completely peaceful. Despite this, more than 700 farmers died in it. Apart from the severe cold, scorching heat and rain on the Delhi border, the farmers also stood in the storm. Many farmers died during this period.
