A tractor-trolley loaded with bricks collided with a truck coming from the front on the Solani bridge in Roorkee, causing the tractor and the trolley to fall out of control by breaking the railing of the Solani bridge. On Monday night, a young man died when an Alto car going from Pithoragarh to Nishni village fell into a ditch.
In the accident in Roorkee, two laborers sitting in the trolley died on the spot. A tractor-trolley full of bricks was heading towards Luxor at around 10.30 am on Tuesday. As soon as the tractor-trolley reached Solani bridge near Luxor, it was hit by a truck overtaking a vehicle from the front. Due to which the tractor-trolley fell down from the Solani bridge uncontrollably. It is being told that two laborers were sitting in the trolley, who died on the spot. While the driver got injured.
Chand’s son Baburam age 20 years, resident of Nagla Imarti, Himanshu’s son Dhir Singh age 19 years has died. While tractor driver Jitendra son Jaspal 25 years old, laborer Hrithik son Mukesh age 23 years have been injured.
On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Kotwali in-charge Yashpal Bisht said that the deceased laborers have not been identified yet.
