Uttar Pradesh / Moradabad : Despite the assurance of the administration, the road could not be built, the farmers said – the movement will continue

Even after repeated agitations, no official is taking names to improve the condition of Lalpur-Karanpur road in Rampur.  There is agitation, road is jammed, officials come and go with assurances, but no action is taken to repair.

On 27 December 2021, the road was blocked by agitating by the Kisan Union.  During this, the officials of the Public Works Department of Moradabad had come and assured to get the repair done by January 6.  Time passed, but not even a stone could come in the name of repair on the road.  Now once again the farmers of Saidnagar area protested at Banjariya crossing and raised their voice for road repair.  During this, BKU Block President Rajpal Choudhary said that the farmer of the area is facing problems continuously, he is facing difficulties in sending his sugarcane crop to the mill.  Departmental officers come and leave only after giving assurance, but no action is taken.  The promise made in the last dharna also proved to be false.  Now the voice of the farmers will not be allowed to be suppressed, in the coming times, dharna will be held for an indefinite time.  If the departmental officers do not get the road repaired at the earliest, then the farmers union will sit on dharna for an indefinite period.  The road needs to be repaired as soon as possible.  Among those who demonstrated, Block President Rajpal Chaudhary, Jaswant Singh, Varun Chaudhary, Akash Singh, Mohit Singh, Jaipal Singh, Monu Chahal, Sonu Chahal etc. farmers were present.
