Uttarakhand / Gangotri : Case filed against BJP candidate and supporters

There is only a short time left for the Uttarakhand assembly elections. Meanwhile, in Uttarkashi district too, the cases of violation of the code of conduct have started increasing continuously. So far, notices have been given to seven persons for violation, while a case of violation of section 144 has also been registered against BJP candidate Suresh Chauhan and 40-50 supporters of Gangotri assembly late on Friday night.

Chatar Singh Chauhan, Returning Officer, Gangotri Vidhan Sabha said that a case has been registered against BJP candidate Suresh Chauhan and his supporters for violating 144. On Friday evening, the FS (flying squad) found Suresh Chauhan and his unidentified 40-50 supporters gathering crowds at various places between Devidhar and Uttarkashi, while Section 144 is in force in the district. This action has been taken on the basis of videos, photos and reports provided by the flying squad team.
