Amit Shah’s complaint to the Election Commission, SP said – why should a case not be registered in the Epidemic Act?

All the parties do not want to leave any stone unturned to win the Uttar Pradesh Vidhansabha Election 2022. In such a situation, to bring BJP back to power, Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday did a door-to-door campaign in Kairana, Shamli. During this, he also distributed pamphlets related to the appeal to the people to vote for the BJP candidate. Home Minister Amit Shah neither applied a mask nor followed the instructions of the Election Commission regarding Corona during his campaign, regarding which the Samajwadi Party has now complained to the Election Commission and demanded action.

The Election Commission has given permission for door to door campaign for campaigning. During this, earlier only 5 people were allowed to campaign during the campaign, but later this number was increased to 10, but during Amit Shah’s door to door campaign, there was a large crowd. Regarding this, the Samajwadi Party has written in a complaint letter to the Election Commission that in many assembly constituencies including Kairana in Shamli, BJP leaders and workers are campaigning with a crowd of more than 10 people against the model code of conduct and Kovid rules. Which is contrary to the instructions of the Election Commission of India, it is affecting the elections. Regarding this, the National Secretary of Samajwadi Party Rajendra Chaudhary has written a letter to the Election Commission demanding strict instructions and action against them.

Regarding this, SP spokesperson Manoj Kaka said that he has demanded fair action from the Election Commission. He said that with how many people, Hon’ble Amit Shah ji, who is sitting on the highest office in the country, is roaming in the streets. If a person has not applied a mask, he himself has not applied it, then does the Pandemic Act not apply to him. Didn’t they openly violate? He alleged that on one hand BJP people are holding rallies and meetings and on the other hand notices are being pasted at our party office. At the same time, he said that Samajwadi Party has also demanded from the Election Commission to ban the opinion polls being shown on TV channels as soon as possible.
