Election excitement is at its peak after the announcement of tickets and discontent among political parties. Both the major parties of Uttarakhand are engaged in persuading their dissidents. In this connection, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat claimed that she and the party would convince Sandhya Dalakoti, who was declared the candidate from Lalkuan seat before. Lalkuan’s Congress leader Sandhya openly expressed displeasure with the party after being cut from the Congress ticket, then Harish Rawat met him in an effort to persuade him, but it is not being expressed. Congress Campaign Committee chief Harish Rawat was earlier declared a candidate from Ramnagar seat, but due to opposition from Ranjit Singh Rawat and his supporters, he was made a candidate from Lalkuan seat. As a new candidate, when Rawat cut Sandhya’s ticket, anger naturally came to the fore. Rawat met Sandhya late on Thursday but she did not agree. Sandhya will now contest as an independent against Harish Rawat.

After the nomination of Harish Rawat from Lalkuan assembly seat, Sandhya Dalakoti has filed her nomination papers as an independent candidate after rebelling from the Congress party. After heavy opposition from Harish Chandra Durgapal and senior Congress leader Harendra Bora, the party high command changed its decision and, while doing damage control, fielded Harish Rawat from Lalkuan, in such a situation, getting frustrated and disappointed with these activities of the party, Sandhya Dalakoti took over the Tehsil After reaching Lalkuan, he has announced to contest the election by filing an independent nomination paper. He said that the national party which gives the slogan of Ladki Hoon Ladge Sakti Hoon, cannot respect women itself, in such a situation, the only option left for them is to contest as an independent. He said that the party has insulted the women power of the entire Uttarakhand. On being persuaded by the party high command and Harish Rawat, she said that earlier the top leaders of the party insulted her, now there is no point in persuading her and she will contest the elections.

Sandhya had written an open letter in the name of Lalkuan!
In this open letter, Sandhya had said something like this, ‘As a loyal worker of Congress, I stayed in the area for 12-12 hours and left my home and worked for everyone. The day before yesterday my fatherlike Durgapal ji insulted me and now Harish Rawat ji. I will not forget this till my last breath.
