Priyanka Gandhi said that the sugarcane arrears across the country are Rs 14,000 crore. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has bought two helicopters for himself for Rs 16,000 crore. The dues could have been paid at the cost of these helicopters. But he bought two helicopters instead. He said that the BJP government did not do any work. Just wasted your money.

Congress manifesto includes 18 points

1. Up to 200 units of electricity will be given free of cost in the first year of formation of the government, after which this exemption will be increased in a phased manner.
2. Postgraduate students will get student credit card of ₹ 500000
3. The ban in government jobs will be removed immediately and at present there are 57 thousand posts which will be filled in the first year.
4. Lokayukta system will be implemented in the state
5. Vacant posts in police department will be filled immediately in which 40% posts will be reserved for women
6. Block cadre system will be implemented in the appointment of guest teachers.
7. Education budget will be increased to develop proper education infrastructure in the state.
8. The amount given to the dependents of martyr soldiers will be doubled, along with one person from each family will be given a government job.
9. State police personnel will be given a grade pay of Rs 4600
10. Mineral mining should be recognized and respected as an industry and trade, illegal mining should be stopped, revenue will be increased by making the 2017 policy more better
11. Work will be done on 3p model which will be based on produce process and partner, micro and small industries will be promoted through village entrepreneurship parks 15 blocks of the state will be developed as dense fruit belts. New fruit, new market policy will be adopted.
12. State’s first sports university will be set up
13. Sugar mills will be modernized and the process of payment of arrears of sugarcane farmers will be improved so that cane payment can be made on time.
14. During the farmers’ movement, the farmers who were sued under political malice, they will withdraw all the cases.
15. Cargo terminals will be developed for the convenience of exporters at both the major airports of the state with a target to increase exports by 3 times in the next 5 years, the same will be reviewed and made more effective.
16. Uttarakhand Sahitya Akademi, Film Academy and Uttarakhand Rang Kala Akademi will be established for the promotion of literature and theater genres.
17. My elders, my pilgrimage will be resumed, pension will be given to all old people
18. Milk production will be promoted by conserving Badri cow and by re-starting the Gai Ganga scheme, enclosures will be constructed for stray animals.
