Chinese scientists revealed in the study, the constantly changing narrative about the origin

Chinese scientists have made a new disclosure about the origin of Omicron, the new variant of the corona virus causing havoc all over the world. Chinese researchers have done a nutty study, believing that Omicron originated from rats.

This study has found strong evidence that the corona virus passed from humans to mice and then after undergoing several mutations, it came back from mice to humans as an Omicron variant. However, this is not the first guess about Omicron’s origin. Researchers are constantly changing their narratives about the Omicron variant.

5 mutations of corona in rats and humans alike
It has been said in the study that such things have been revealed in this variant of corona virus, which were rarely found in samples of earlier patients or were found in other variants or any of its sub-variants. The five mutations of the Omicron variant in humans are identical to those found in lung samples from mice.

Omicron has more than 50 mutations
The study was carried out by researchers from Nankai University in Tianjin and the National Institute for Communicable Disease Control and Prevention. It has been published in the Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity. According to these researchers, the origin of Omicron remains unknown. It has over 50 mutations, many of which were not found in the previous variants.

Three theories about Omicron
There are broadly three theories about the origin of Omicron.

  1. The virus mutates in a person who has low immunity, ie he is immunocompromised.
  2. The Omicron variant is mutating among those covid patients who have gone unnoticed before.
  3. An animal species may have been infected by a human that has gone through several rounds of mutations before infecting humans again.
