Uttarakhand / Haldwani : Municipal commissioner said that first 17 slums will be surveyed

DM Dhiraj Garbyal has given directions to survey all the slums category wise and submit the report by May 17. He said that after this the meeting of the district level committee would be held. The committee will send its recommendation to the government after the meeting. On Wednesday, a meeting was held in the DM Camp office under the chairmanship of DM Dhiraj Garbyal regarding the survey of slums. Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Upadhyay said that there are 22 slums in the Haldwani area of ​​the Municipal Corporation. Out of this, five settlements are coming under the JD of Railways. For this reason only 17 habitations are being surveyed. The Municipal Commissioner said that 22 slums have been identified in Municipal Corporation Haldwani, seven in Kaladhungi, eight in Ramnagar, 15 in Nainital. CDO Dr. Sandeep Tiwari, Additional District Magistrate Ashok Joshi, Sub-Collector Gaurav Chatwal, City Magistrate Richa Singh etc. were present in the meeting.
