Uttarakhand / Dehradun : NMC team reached Doon Medical College, taking stock

Continuous efforts are being made to increase the PG seats in Doon Medical College. Now the team of National Medical Commission i.e. NMC has reached Doon Medical College on Thursday for three seats of PG in Orthopedic Department, the team is taking stock of the arrangements in the hospital including the faculty. MS Dr. KC Pant, Professor Dr. Yusuf Rizvi, NMC in-charge of the college, Dr. Anil Joshi, Head of Orthopedic Department made the team round. Principal Dr. Ashutosh Sayana told that he had applied for three seats in the Orthopedic Department. Apart from this, applications have been made for four seats in medicine, three seats in ophthalmology department. Let us inform that last year due to shortage of faculty in medicine, NMC had rejected the application. Earlier, NMC has inspected for two seats in Forensic Medicine. Hope to get recognition soon. The college has already got five seats in surgery, two in ENT, two in gynecology, two in anaesthesia, two in pathology in clinical subjects. The medical college has got 31 PG seats including two in pathology, two in biochemistry, five in physiology, four in pharmacology, three in microbiology, two in community medicine. The principal said that with the arrival of PG, the arrangements of the college would be fine, there would be a lot of help in the treatment and education of the students.
