Uttarakhand : If the record of students is not made public in the Right to Education Act, then the recognition of private schools will be canceled

Under the Right to Education Act (RTE Act), private schools taking admission in 25 percent seats will have to make the complete record of the students public on their website. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of recognition of schools. The government has taken this decision in view of the complaints of fraud in RTE admission. Along with this, all the schools will also have to compulsorily register themselves on the portal of the Education Department.

Director General-Education Banshidhar Tiwari has issued strict instructions to all CEOs and District Project Officers of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan in this regard. Instructions have also been given to mark all the schools that do not register on the portal. All the officers have been asked to complete the process within 15 days.

This is the system
Under the RTE quota, 25 percent seats in private schools are reserved for children from poor and deprived sections. The government bears all their expenses. Every year more than Rs 100 crore is spent as fee payment. Although it is paid by the central government, but its full details have to be provided.

If the center caught the flaws, then the officers became strict
During the annual budget appraisal of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), many flaws have come to the fore. Many schools are being run without due recognition. Many schools have not renewed their accreditation. Despite this, the schools are continuously taking RTE admission. According to the Director General, when this fact came to light, the Central Government has taken it as gross negligence and violation of law. Due to these lapses, the state has to face a very uncomfortable situation.
