Rahul Gandhi said- Two India in Gujarat model – one for rich people, the other for common people
Intensifying the election campaign in Gujarat, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reached Gujarat on Tuesday. Here, while addressing the ‘Adivasi Satyagraha Rally’ in Dahod, a tribal dominated, he said – The Gujarat model that Modi talks about has two Indias, one of the common people, the other of the rich people. At the end of the program, the song ‘Congress Party Re Congress Party’ was played, to the tune of which Rahul Gandhi danced on stage with MLA Chandrikaben Baria.
Congress does not want two India
Rahul Gandhi said- ‘This is not a public meeting, it is the beginning of Satyagraha. Narendra Modi became the PM in 2014. The work he started in Gujarat is being done in India today, which is called the Gujarat Model. Today two Indias are being made. An India belongs to the rich, in which there are big rich people and they have power, wealth and ego. Second India belongs to the common people of India.
He further said- ‘This model was first tested in Gujarat and then it was implemented in India. But, Congress does not want two India. We want an India in which everyone has equal rights, everyone gets all facilities.
Today two-three people are running the public
Rahul Gandhi said- ‘Gujarat is such a state in the whole world, where permission has to be taken even for movement. I know Jignesh Mevini, it doesn’t matter if you put him in jail for 10 years. We want to bring the Janata model back to Gujarat, where the government is run by the voice of the people. Today two-three people make the public run, people sit silently. You know this truth, so you have to fight for it. If there is a Congress government in the coming elections, it will be the voice of the tribals. There will be a tribal MLA and the government will do what the tribals want.
See only one face on tv
Taking a dig at the PM, even while raising the matter of Corona, he said- ‘PM was saying, ‘Play the plate, but lakhs of people died. Only one face is seen on TV, that of Narendra Modi’. This government has closed and privatized government schools.
Traditional Vote Bank of Tribal Congress
Rahul’s Adivasi Satyagraha rally in Gujarat is also being considered important because in Gujarat there is a lot of influence in about 40 seats including ST-SC and tribal society. Till now the tribals have been considered as the traditional vote bank of the Congress.
After the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP had got more than 5 tribal MLAs of the Congress to join the BJP, giving a strong blow to the Congress. Recently Congress’s tribal leader and MLA Ashwin Kotwal left the party and joined BJP.
